A new media group

ARBO (EMI) and the media held by the Paunescu family (Media Sud) have recently formed a partnership. EMI holds the following publications: Monitorul de Cluj, Alba, Sibiu and Medias, Ziarul de Iasi, Ziarul de Braila, Viata Libera Galati and Obiectiv Vaslui. Media Sud has control over the publications: Gazeta de Olt, Curierul National and Gazeta de Sud, and over the management of B1TV. In esssence it seems that we will be witnessing a gradual aquizition by EMI. The new media division created by this merge becomes the strongest in local print, surpassing the ex-number one group in Transilvania (Informedia).
